How did you specify "image" in the config file? Is there really a copy of
the kernel image at that location?

I *think* you can get away with BootX for a non-DV iMac, unless you have
some special needs that only yaboot will meet. But I have never actually
tried any of this on any iMac.

Have you read the installation manual available via the Yellow Dog site?
It now includes instructions on using yaboot.
