I have a Mac 8500 with a Sonnet G3 card, as well as the Sonnet Tempo ATA-66
card, to which I have connected a 30 gb Maxtor drive, a 15 gb Maxtor drive
and a 13 gb Maxtor drive. When I bring up YDL CS 1.2.1 to install, I am
unable to see these drives. I can see the drives on the external SCSI port
(a 1.2 gb Quantum drive, a 170 mb CDC drive, my CD and a Zip 100) with no
problem. I have tried switching to a different virtual console and running
pdisk /dev/hdbx (where x=partition number). The results are the same: pdisk
can not find any devices. What do I need in order to install on an IDE
chain?
