I have an old 9600 machine with dual 200 Mhz processors and 224 MB
RAM. I'm running YDL Champion 1.2.

I tried to compile a new kernel (using 2.2.15-pre19), using all the
same settings, only enabling SMP and enhanced RTC, as suggested in the help
text on SMP. This new kernel panics on boot, "Rebooting in 180 seconds". The
last line before the error message is about loading RTC driver, or something
like that.

I tried compiling the kernel without SMP, but still including
enhanced RTC. The kernel panics the same way.

Compiling with SMP and without enhanced RTC works. Unfortunately the
kernel says "Processor 1 is stuck" upon boot, and /proc/cpuinfo only lists
one processor.

        Any ideas?!
