If you do it from the tarball, everything gets installed under
/usr/local/apache. If you do it from YDL's RPM, then you get the directories
scattered around your directories and you get no apachectl. htdocs goes in
/home/httpd as does cgi-bin. conf winds up in /etc/httpd.

Did the Apache tree get installed in /usr/local/apache? Specifically, where did htdocs, cgi-bin, and conf go?
