I can't find the directions you're referring to.. do you mean the iMac DV
part?

Where did you get this 2.2.15pre19 kernel from, and why did you choose it?
That's a bit old... and will likely still have issues with your GMAC etheret
iirc.

Are you saying you installed the dev rpm listed on BenH's page, but you're
using an old kernel? That's likely the problem. Try using the latest
precompiled kernel listed on his page.

That probably means dmasound is compiled into your kernel rather than as a
seperate module. So it automatically works, and no modprobing is necessary.

That's very unusual... if you're sure it's a crash (can you ping the machine
from another computer?) I would recommend a recent kernel.

PPP problems are usual, but I'm afraid I can't help there.

Yes, this is an unfortunate side-effect of the way USB is handled. Iow, USB
isn't handled in single user mode.

You should probably post exact error messages and version numbers to the MOL
list (www.maconlinux.com)...

Yes, I think caps lock still isn't quite working under Linux USB. This isn't
a keymap issue though.

Yes, I just put this up at
http://www.penguinppc.org/usr/xf4/wheeliemouse.php3. It's very cool.
