I just got ydl cs1.2 after seeing it on the cover of LJ. Now I get to
play with my kid's
iMac too!! I'm no Linux guru, I've been using mostly Solaris and hacking
in
Python and C++ for the last few years (not on kernels!) I've got a
couple of questions
that some of you might have seen before.

System: iMac DV 400 MHz G3 128MB Ram

1. I've got the infamous "broad white stripe" down the right-hand side
of the monitor.
I have set Xconfigurator to iMac Display, 1024x768, 8-bit ATI Rage 128
Accelerated.

2. I can't figure out how to get the one-button mouse to act like more
buttons (numlock=, etc
don't seem to do anything, I guess I should go buy another mouse).

3. CD isn't working right, I get the message:
" mount: fs type iso9660 not supported by kernel"
This is with the ydl source cd in the drive. I ran yup update to try
and get the
latest of everything from yellowdog and this seems to have messed up
my
    /lib/modules directory :(

Any suggestions?
later,
jim preston
