With MKLinux you could not have swap partitions bigger than 128 (or
was it 127) MB, though you could have a cap.

That is old, though, and that limit no longer is in effect.
I like having swap space available even though I rarely swap- I keep
a ratio of 1.5 to 1 (swap to real) so that if need be- all my ram
could be swapped.

I rarely touch swap, but disk space is cheap, so it nice to have the
assurance that if I need it- i gots it. If I need more swap that my
ratio, I seriously need more real cause my performance is gonna be
pokey... with my very liberal ratio. I frequently go weeks without
ever swapping. (Usually when I swap its cause I turned the ram on MOL
way up to run some photoshop thing...)
