Those are not impressive specs... but it still shouldn't be that slow. The
most important question is what version of BootX are you using? Try getting
the latest (1.2.2 I think) from http://ppclinux.apple.com/~benh. Older
versions made 603 machines crawl. You can tell if this is your problem by
running 'dmesg | grep Bogo'. If the number is in the single digits, get the
newer BootX. If the number is over 100 (where it should be) you have a
different problem.
