Subject: Screen Resolution

This should be a simple question.
I have Linux running. I am at the command line. I remember putting some
params in the bootx control panel to specify the resolution, but I don't
remember what those commands are.
How can I tell from the command line what the current res and scan rate are
set to? I'd rather not have to reboot into MacOS to check the params. There
must be a way to tell.
I know it is in the x configuration file somewhere, but I don't remember
where that config file is hiding.
