Subject: Deleting in X

Hi,

I browsed the archives and was not able to find an answer ( what is really
needed is the ability to search those archives via the web. any particular
reason that has not been done yet, or am I just missing that page?).

I am running YDL Champion Server on a Rev B. IMac w/ 96 MB RAM ( I swear
that the damn thing runs a heck of alot faster than OS 9 on my G4 400) and I
am using the original USB micro-keyboard and hockey puck mouse that shipped
with the machine.

I cannot figure out for the life of me how to delete entered text (GNOME,
KDE) without highlighting the text and pressing the delete key. What is the
keyboard combination in YDL for backspacing and deleting at the same time?

Also, what is the keyboard combination for emulating the third mouse button?
I figured out how to emulate the second (click + clear). Are there any
three button USB mice that are supported by YDL?

Apart from these questions, this my first YDL install went flawlessly (well
once I read about using the drive utility from 8.5/8.6 to create
partitions). It was much more of a pleasant experience than RH or FreeBSD.
I am so impressed I am rebuilding the G4 this weekend to be a dual booter.
