Thanks to all that made suggestions...
Yesterday, I picked up the Logitech MouseMan Wheel optical USB mouse. It
has
two buttons on top, a third 'thumb' button plus the scroll wheel.
In Linux, the mouse works OK with the two top buttons acting as 1st and
3rd Linux buttons, but how do I get the 2nd button to work?
Any ideas, poiters, etc. appreciated.
