Probably because Howard is shifting web content from a MacOS based
server where it was case insensitive. WebStar is convenient, but it
can make moving stuff a pain if you get sloppy (he says, from
experience)

Howard, quick answers is: Linux: can't do. Apache: look into the
mod_speling module (and it IS spelled that way). It'll help, but not
a complete solution.
