i reinstalled ydl cs 1.2 on my g3 yosemite (b&w) (kde) and now
whenever i try to do startx it brings up the grey screen then i have
to hit control command backspace to force quit x server. when i look
at the error it says connection to ":0" is not allowed by this user.
MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE ID=-1. its driving me nuts b/c its messing up half
the stuff on my system. i'm currently running windowmaker, but
that's not doing anything to fix it (duh). anything to fix this
would be super appreciated. also, whenever i run linuxconf (i don't
much anymore), but when i go to quit, like on the main menu go to
quit, before where you can activate changes, it says error on line 1
of resolv.conf and when i hit ok i go to activate changes and i get
hung up for a pause and then says couldn't complete this command,
then i get the resolv.conf error again. my resolv.conf file looks
like
search
nameserver=216.178.151.2
namserver=216.178.151.3
can someone help me out w/this problem also??? it'd be much
appreciated. obviously there's something wrong w/the root
permissions in both cases, but i can't figure out how to fix this.
thanx in advance,
adam
