Hi,

My PowerBook G3 w/ yellowdog Linux dosen't have such problem,
but my home-build PC w/ slackware 7.0 Linux had it.
Then I solved it like this:

As root,

# hwclock

or

#hwclock --show

then check the time. If it is wrong, the problem may depend
on the hardware clock. To set the hardware clock,

# hwclock --set --date="mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss"

"mm/dd/yy hh:mm:ss" is like "08/26/00 17:38:22"

Then make syclo system clock with hardware clock:

# hwclock --hctosys

There isn't yellowdog here, so I cannot conform this command,
I'm sorry.

I hope it works for you.
