Well, I tried and tried, and read though plenty of README files for that
2.4 kernel, but never could get my trackball to work via the iMate
adapter. I went up to my office, and grabbed my USB Kensington TurboRing
Trackball... works great!

Other than that.. now I know how to recompile my kernel should i ever need
to.
