I saw on kerneltrafic, that Linus is changing the way the SCSI drivers
should be written. I don't recall what it was excactly, but you should try
to get the newest patch (Yes i know, standard answer).

Subject: Adaptec 29160N and YDL2 2.4 Kernel?

Hey all I am having an issue since I upgraded my SCSI card to a Adapterc
29160N, it works beautifully under MacOS, but having one small issue
under
Linux I'm getting this every second on stderr (printed to VT1).

Aug 4 09:38:38 lump kernel: (scsi3:A:6:0): data overrun detected in
Data-in phase. Tag == 0x1e.
Aug 4 09:38:38 lump kernel: (scsi3:A:6:0): Have seen Data Phase.
Length
= 16.
 NumSGs = 1.
Aug 4 09:38:38 lump kernel: sg[0] - Addr 0x5764e0 : Length 32
Aug 4 09:38:38 lump kernel: (scsi3:A:6:0): data overrun detected in
Data-in phase. Tag == 0x32.
Aug 4 09:38:38 lump kernel: (scsi3:A:6:0): Have seen Data Phase.
Length
= 16.
 NumSGs = 1.
Aug 4 09:38:38 lump kernel: sg[0] - Addr 0x5764e0 : Length 32
Aug 4 09:38:38 lump kernel: (scsi3:A:6:0): data overrun detected in
Data-in phase. Tag == 0x65.
Aug 4 09:38:38 lump kernel: (scsi3:A:6:0): Have seen Data Phase.
Length

 NumSGs = 1.
Aug 4 09:38:38 lump kernel: sg[0] - Addr 0x5764e0 : Length 32

My guess is that it would have to be the adaptec driver in the kernel?
Any helpful hints from anyone?
