I'm sorry to be vague. Here is what I have done.

I wiped the drive and made the allocations for OS 9, X, and free for YDL.

I installed 9.1 on the first segment, per the instructions.

I then restarted w/ the YDL CD, held the C down, and began the GUI
Installer.

I began to set up the partitions, but it would lock when trying to format
the 8 GB partition for the main Linux portion. I restarted, and tried
again to no avail. I restarted another time, and then broke it down into
two partitions of 4 GB. The format went fine.

I then began to install the "home" set of apps. It locked, and I
restarted.

I tried again, and it went through to where it was trying to resolve the
package dependancies, and the bar stopped moving. I went in another room
watched TV, and came back 30 min later. No change.

I also tried the above using the Text installer, and the no-video option.
Same problems

I'm trying to install on a factory Dual 450 G4. I am not sure if it is a
problem with the CD? or my computer?

I don't understand what you are doing here. Are you trying to
install one package at a time? You need to boot from the YDL CD by
holding down the "c" key on restart--with the YDL cd in the internal
cd drive. Then go through the installation for "home",
"workstation", or whatever. I hope I'm wrong about my reading of
your message. But if you're not getting any responses, it is because
it is so vague.
