Linatti--
I am happy give something back to the list.
I have discovered a (relatively minor) bug previously unknown to
Terrasoft. They have given me a workaround and I proudly present here.
If you wish to set up YDL as an ftp server using proftpd. And you do
your configuring using netsysv, then you will encounter this bug.
netsysv gives an acsii graphical gui that allows you to turn on
proftpd. Problem is that when you save, that selection is not kept.
Use the following term commands instead:
/sbin/chkconfig proftpd on
This should activate proftpd. You will
then need to:
/sbin/service xinetd restart
You should now be able to ftp into your machine.
This is not my own insight, merely reported from the Terrasoft
support. Hope someone finds it useful.
Best, Ted
