  I would like to know the answer to this as well. I am thinking you
have to "re-point" the open firmware on your mac to where the boot
loader lives such as

setenv boot-dev hda7:,\\tbxi:

or something like that. To get into OF you need to do
O+F+Option+Command at boot time.
