Subject: 5500/250? compatible with YDL 2

I have a 5500/250 upon which I am trying to install YDL 2
after partitioning my 4.0 gig disk & installing bootx
when I re-start I get the choose OS screen but any attempt to boot to YDL I
get a blank (no signal at all) screen for ever
do I have to change the machine upon which I am trying to install?
