First of all,

this kernel works great on my TiBook, i got sound and the fan didn't jump
on one time; heat is greatly reduced.
But since I installed the kernel from
ftp://ftp.penguinppc.org/users/dburcaw/kernel-2.4.8/
i have no cdrom access anymore.
mount returns a "Wrong medium type" error all the time.
I can mount my local hfs-partition, but no cd, no matter if its hfs, msdos
iso9660...

What do I miss, guess it's just a newbie problem.
