Since my first attempt at installing Hollis' rpms failed (well, the
install went OK AFAICT, but it won't run, fatal signal 11 at startx),
I went to the above site and rsynced the entire tree by 28.8 modem
overnight.

Following the instructions to the letter (gawd I hope), I first find
that there is no such file xc/config/cf/xfree86.cf to modify, as
claimed. Not sure I have to do that when I am only building the ati
driver, but when I try to do so anyway, I get:

[root@linux xfree86]# cd drivers/ati
[root@linux ati]# make
rm -f ati.o
gcc -c -O2 -fsigned-char -I.

This is not going well... First no xfree86.cf, now the above files
appear to be missing. I rsynced one more time to make sure I had
everything. Xfuncproto.h is -not- in the tree. Wtf? I -do- have the
rest of them, including xf86str.h.

Advice?
