If you have trouble with the hfs utilities, you can do the
quick and dirty way: format a Zip disk or something like that
with HFS, not HFS+, and use that as a conduit from the Linux
side to the Mac side. I did that when I was just getting started;
it's cumbersome, but works.

Good luck,
Martin.

Okay, but how do I go about doing this? I can't seem to mount the Linux
partition when I'm running MacOS, and I can't seem to access the Mac
volumes from the Linux command line. So, how can I get the file from
the Mac environment to the Linux environment? If I can get past this
point I should be able to proceed with the directions as given. Thanks,
everyone!
