I have YDL 2.1 loaded on a pre-98 Wallstreet model (no USB or Firewire). I'm
not using an adb mouse, though, just the built-in trackpad.

When I look at my X86Config I notice that the device file being referenced
is /dev/mouse2, not /dev/mouse as in yours. Could it be as simple as that?

What I am having trouble with is sound. This worked on this machine under
YDL 2.0, but now it doesn't.

and when i try and startX the screen goes dark and then says:
