Hi all,

After installing YDL v2.1 on my Powerbook G3 (with ATI Rage Pro 8MB
card) the X configuration defaults to the fbdev driver, which is dead
slow.

I tried to change the driver from fbdev to ati, and the card is
correctly identified as an ATI card, but X refuses to start saying there
are no valid modelines found. This turns out to be because the
horizonatl refresh rates are out of range.

Kludging the horizontal range to "0-100" allows X to start up properly -
and the screen appears fine, but the mouse pointer is turned into a
64x64 pixel block of corrupt data.

Giving up on Xconfigurator and using Xautoconfig4 instead results in
another config file with an invalid refresh rate.

Is there any hope of getting acceleration to work on this machine?
Anyone else had success with a G3 Powerbook and YDL?

Regards,
Graham
