Hi Andrew: This system is an "old world" macintosh, and therefore cannot
use the yaboot boot-loader, and also cannot boot the YDL install CD. The
YDL-approved way to install on this machine is to use the
BootX_Installer on the CD. Also, check out the YDL install guide, linked
from http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/products/install.shtml. Follow the
instructions for installing on an Old World system, and the BootX
bootloader.
