Your default route is set to your eth0 (192.168.1.1) which is due to the the
file /etc/sysconfig/network having an entry for GATEWAYDEV=eth0. Try
and remove the eth0 from the GATEWAYDEV= (leave the =).

For dhcp, I had to use dhcpd I think. I don't have dsl anymore so don't
recall all of the specifics. But I think that dhcpd would "take over" and
set up the proper GATEWAYDEV and generate the proper default route which
should be through your ISP instead of your LAN.

I am sure the above is not right and hopefully someone will correct any
errors. I do believe that the default installation of YDL 2.1 sets the
GATEWAYDEV=eth0 which causes problems for dialup networking and setting up
the proper default route. I suspect that this also applies to dsl and cable
modems??
