Subject: New Thread: ethernet and Shaw Cable

I am up and running with YDL 1.2.1 on a 9500/132 upgraded to G3 with a
Newer card. Bit by bit, I'm getting more things happening the way I can
predict. I even have MOL running.
What is missing is my connection to a cable modem connected to the Shaw
system. My Mac runs fine on its connection through TCP/IP on ethernet. I
know all of those settings. Does anyone have a simple grid of how the
numbers fit into the setup on Linux for making the connection work? I am
confused on how the IP addresses work for the computer itself vs. the
card vs. the cable modem and how these all fit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated - I'll send you the first email
from my machine! :-)
