Hi,

I have one RS6000 with 2 processors and 2Gb of memory and I instaled the
Yellowdog Champion server 1.2 on it. But whenever I boot the server I
see some messages that let worried, only 768Mb of 2Gb of memory are
being detected

from dmesg:

device tree used 45908 bytes
Total memory = 768MB; using 2048kB for hash table (at c0400000)

egcs-2.91.66 19990314 (egcs-1.1.2 release)) #2 SMP Fri
Jun 16 12:39:25 MDT 2000

and about the 2 processors that is the message:

Calibrating delay loop... 330.96 BogoMIPS
Memory: 773056k available (1632k kernel code, 11444k data, 152k init)

Someone can tel me what does it means?
is the machine working only with one processor, besides /proc/cpuinfo
tell me that are 2 processors?

and about the memory, how can I make the hole size be detected?

this machine used to work fine with AIX, but now sometimes it is hanging
and I have to power off the machine and reboot again.

Any help are welcome, its my fist time with linus on a ppc machine.

Best Regards

Carlos
