I've downloaded and compiled a program called xv. This is a simple image
viewing program (I know I should explore gimp, but I have these files in
weird formats that only xv can read - blah blah blah). One of the
functions of this viewing program is "Zoom In." This is accomplished on
the Solaris and IRIX platforms by holding down the control key and
clicking the left mouse button. I cannot get this to function on my
machine. I have been using the F1 and F2 buttons to simulate middle and
right mouse buttons. These seem to work very well in general and in xv.
The trackpad button also gernerally works as the left button. However, the
control and the trackpad button do not zoom.

I'm running CS1.2 on a Wallstreet, using BootX with kernel arguments
adb_buttons=122,120 video=atyfb:vmode=14,cmode:24 and kernel version
2.2.17. I am using the fvwm window manager ('though I've also tried
Sawmill) and gnome. The X window system I'm using is XFree86 3.3.6 and the
configuration file is written by Xconfigurator.

Any insight into how to make this work would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Dan
