Since the installer says it's loading the second stage, you've successfully
told it where the files are.

I don't have a clue. I've never run into this problem before. The only
thing I can think of right now is that perhaps there's a problem with the
ramdisk image. You could try downloading the image via FTP and giving it a
shot.
