Help,
I am trying to install YDL 2.x on my iMac (2000 slot load). This machine
was happily running YDL 1.2.
I deleted my 1.2 partitions from within the installer and created the three
recomended partitions (bootloader 10mb, swap 128mb, root max 3.1 gigs). I
save the partion map and the installer begins to format them. Then I get
the following error:

Using YDL 2.0 disk I purchased retail
OSError:[Errno17] file exists: '/tmp/root/etc/'
        File "/usr/lib/yi/mount.py". line 505 in Write
                os.mkdir (self.installPath + '/etc/');
        File "/usr/lib/yi/mount.py". line 335 in configure
                return self.Write(face)
        File "/usr/lib/yi/mount.py". line 56 in_call_
                return self.configure(args)

Using YDL 2.1 disk burned from iso image
OSError:[Errno17] file exists: '/tmp/root/etc/'
        File "/usr/lib/yi/mount.py". line 514 in Write
                os.mkdir (self.installPath + '/etc/');
        File "/usr/lib/yi/mount.py". line 344 in configure
                return self.Write(face)
        File "/usr/lib/yi/mount.py". line 57 in_call_
                return self.configure(args)

I have also tried to install on a PowerCenter 150 (176megs ram, seperate
internal 1 gig drive) using the same disks as above. On the PowerCenter it
gets through the partition map, but fails while copying packages.

Are these problems a result of the install disks, or is there something
simple I'm missing?

Thanks for your help
John
