i finally got the YDL 2.1 installer to load. its
amazing what you can do with a little creativity and
the dd command :) i partitioned my 2.1 gb scsi drive
with a 10mb hfs, 128mb swap, **mb ext2, and 25mb ext2.
i loaded the YDL 2.0 install, switched over to another
console, ran 'dd if=ramdisk-text.image of=/dev/sdb5'
to write the ramdisk image to the 25mb partition. i
then restarted. in MkLinux booter, i set the rootdev
to /dev/sdb5 and used the kernel i had that was linked
to the 2.0 installer. it loaded fine. it ran the YDL
2.1 install off of /dev/sdb5. Yea!! i never thought i
would get it to work....
