ypbind not binding to domain

I just installed YDL 2.1 and I find that ypbind is not binding
to the domain. I set the domain name in /etc/sysconfig/network,
put "ypserver" entries in /etc/yp.conf, added the servers to
/etc/hosts, activated ypbind with chkconfig, and rebooted.

This was working fine in 2.0. Any suggestions?
