Has anyone figured out how to get hardware acceleration using an ATI
Rage 128 graphics card? My screen refresh rate is ABYSMAL and is pretty
much a deal killer for me in using ydl. I have the kernel that comes
with 1.2.2 (I believe it is 2.2.18).

Another question: I tried compiling kernel 2.4test12 but the 'make
vmlinux' would not work; said something like there is no rule to make
it. I heard that Linus et. al was going away from uncompressed kernels
but did they remove the ability to create an uncompressed kernel at
compile time? I have to use BootX since I have an Old World Rom mac and
I still use the Mac side. Has anyone successfully compiled a 2.4
uncompressed kernel? I guess I can 'make bzImage' and then use initrd to
make the ram image but I would rather use an uncompressed kernel.
