There is a hardware compatibility list at http://penguinppc.org/usr/hardware
(everyone go email webmaster if your hw isn't in it!).
Symbios- and NCR-based cards work fine (though the Mac OS and OF won't
be able to see them). As Chris mentioned, most ATTO cards (except the -3D one
currently bundled by Apple) should work as well. Oh, and AIC7xxx cards too
from what I've heard.
