Subject: iMac DV Install Prob

I've been working on getting YD 1.2 installed on my iMac DV. After some minor probs getting the install to recognize the USB keyboard and mouse I was able to run an install using BenH's kernel and have had some success in getting the install to work.
However, the install isn't building a fstab. So I get errors on reboot and the root fs is mounted read-only. I'd prefer not to rebuild the fstab manually...but would attempt to do so if I could figure out how to change the root fs to read-write.
Has anyone else seen this problem? And, if so, can it be corrected such that the install writes the fstab correctly itself?
