I may have mentioned this before: Linus Torvalds
admitted on Charlie Rose (PBS) that Steve Jobs had
offered him a 'job' at Apple. It was always my hope
that
the Open Source community would mindmeld with Apple in
light of OS X. That was probably naive of me, but
Darwin remains as open source code. Probably Adobe
(Photoshop) and Quark Express are 'afraid' that if
they release OS X versions, then Linux won't be far
behind and profits will suffer (?).
(I'm using OS X now - but on an ancient Beige Rev.A
(which in OS X has IDE master & slave - not possible
before in Rev.A mob amd older OS)).
OS X has a long way to go - but Apple is in no hurry
to make the compatibility changes (especially for
unsupported HW) because early sales of the newest
computers are amazing (OS X default OS as of Monday).
Cheers
George
PS: Thanks to Chris M., I tried YD 2.0.
