mail / pine problem

Hi all

For some reason when I try to send a mail to myself, I cannot get any mail.
It used to work just fine. The way I send the mail is

$ mail username
Subject: Test message
This is test message
.

There is no error message. So I assume the mail has been sent successfully.
And then try checking the mail

$ mail
No new mail for username

The same thing happened to pine. Is there anybody know what's wrong? Thanks.
