Subject: gcc binaries installation

It is now obvious that I do not have gcc installed and
that I shall need to install it. I found the binaries
of gcc on the YDL 2.0 install disk... there are four.
How does one install these binaries...? (Obviously an
inexperienced user speaking). Thank you.
