Thanks, that seems like it'll work. I don't really need to worry about
getting another battery if it's dead, I keep my box on all the time
(it's a server).

Now how about a solution to pine's error message on startup when it's
run it root, not in anthing else (strange):

[Unable to parse internal date: 27-Aug-1956 21:16:38-LCL]
