Ummm, this kinda makes no sense to me, Steve. If you bought a Mac for
your home network, you should be the owner and have Admin permissions.
Period.

If it was my Mac, I would backup and save what I considered important,
then reinitialize the hard drive (which is how big??). If you don't plan
on being in MacOS much, a minimal install should fit on a 200MB HFS
partition, which leaves you the most space for your YDL install.

See the YDL site for specific how-to-install info.

Cheers.

Pete

All,

I have a Beige G3 that has MacOS 7.x and LinuxPPC2000 (with yaboot
loader I
think??) I do not have Administrator permissions for the OS (although I
bought it
with Mac OS installed - long story). The MacOS side I cannot get to
connect to
the rest of my home network ( No Admin permissions).

Can anyone come up with a method in which I can load from CD (or the
net) YDL
2.1 over the LinuxPPC install??

    Steve...
