Stupid fingerd question

When I finger my username from my machine locally, it displays my lovely
~/.plan file. When I finger my username from another UNIX machine, it
displays the same thing, but says "No Plan."

How do I make it so that it shows my ~/.plan from any machine? Also, if
you can configure it more, can you remove the mail information?
