I have a Umax Astra 1200s scsi scanner that I want to run on my YDL machine
(a Macintosh Performa 6360).
My questions: is there a faq on scanner setup?
I've searched high and low with little success.
I've tried enabling generic scsi support in xconfig and installing SANE
(what a bad f%$#kin' joke that acronym is). But still I can't get the damn
scanner to be recognized.
Is there someplace that walks dummies like me through scanner setup?
Or can one of you kind folks lend me some advice (before my scanner goes
crashing three flights down to the concrete below)?
