Yes It does! G3L2, 6500, and Linux.

The required steps if you want to use the IDE internal drive. I
might be a good idea to get a larger hard disk if your using the stock drive
that came with your 6500. The installation requires (by documentation) a 1
gig partition. I have a Maxtor 13 GB diamond plus 7200 RPM. You will need to
reformat the drive if you don't have a utility that will do a none
destructive repartitioning. One of the partitions will need to be HFS not
HFS+. The kernel for which the system (linux) will be booting from will be
located there. I don't think I need to continue on this line as the
documentation available is sufficient the explain the requirements. As state
before the problem I had with the IDE was that the kernel version 2.2.15
that comes with YDL 1.2 would not boot from the IDE. I believe the reason
for this is when the Blue and White G3's came out it became necessary to
rewrite the IDE drivers. The stock 6500 will run with the 2.2.15 kernel.
However when the G3L2 card is activated the software will report an
interrupt lost message when it tries to access the IDE drive after it's been
powered down. I hear the hard disk drive spin up after the access is made.
The drive should have spun up prior to this. The fix was to either restore
the 2.2.15 IDE drivers to their former state or use a different kernel
version. I just happen to have a prior kernel version install on my machine
when I tested a version which came on the Mac Mag CDROM (LinuxPPC). Using
this version (2.2.6) did not result in the IDE lost interrupt message and
proceeded with the boot process without a problem. The only problem with the
G3L2 is it requires software to activate. This required you to boot into the
Mac OS first. Then running BootX after the Mac OS was finished booting. Be
advised this is with a Newer G3L2/300/200/1M card I'm not sure how the Sonet
G3L2 are activated and may require a different approach.
