Subject: cdrecord problems?

Heya.. I have an external scsi 12x burner by smart and friendly. When I try
to write any type of CD with cdrecord - it gives me this output:
Cdrecord 1.9 (powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2000 Jörg

TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM
/usr/bin/cdrecord: Invalid argument. Cannot get mmap for 4198400 Bytes on
/dev/zero.
And it does this wether I try it via the console or with a gui frontend.
I can read audio and data cds with my burner.
Any help would be appreciated!
