Hi,

Since you're discussing the Network Config program, I just wanted to
toss in a quick question. When I tried to use it to add a PPP interface, I
found there was no option for it. But, if I add a config file for ppp0
in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts, it shows up and is configurable in the
interfaces panel. After playing around with this for a while (and the kPPP
dialer), I was thorougly frustrated. For some reason, after adding a PPP
location (basically login/phone info) the Network Config program created a
ppp1 for my system and then wouldn't let me disconnect after IO dialed in
(just kept redialing). So, I ended up just running wvdialer on my command
line with the argument for my location info. This worked fine and made me
quite happy! So now just a few quick questions:

Are there any gotchas with wvdialer that I should be aware of?

How can I set eth0 NOT to be a default gw when it comes up (if ppp0 is
not up)? I'm not sure what needs to be set/unset. I looked at the ifup
script, but the reference to `add default gw' didn't help.

Thanks,
Mike
