Well, when I try to use anti-aliased fonts, I find out that I can't, because
there aren't any fonts available
(It doesn't work with ordinary fonts!!) So I only use aliased fonts on KDE
and forget about the anti-aliased option.

Can anyone shed some light on this matter?

Maybe you didn't start 'xfs', I have stock YDL 2.0 install
and its running, man page says port 7100,
try runlevel 5 or

cd /etc/rc.d/init.d
xfs start
