Hi folks,
I installed YDL 2.0 on an IDE slave drive, the install went OK but yaboot does
not show up
when rebooting. The only way I could start linux was to use BootX after putting
the kernel
in the syst. folder by hand.
Is there a trick for this, should I turn my IDE drive in a Master drive so that
yaboot starts
correctly???
Well, here are some more precisions, I run a B/W G3 (yosemite).
Two drives: Macos on the internal SCSI
YDL 2.0 on an IDE slave drive
I formatted the IDE drive with regular three partitions (boot, swap, linux),
mounted
them and asked for using yaboot as bootloader.
As I said no Yaboot shows up at start time.
I noticed something lately when looking at my IDE drive using pdisk
under MacOS. The boot and linux partitions don not have the name I gave them.
pdisk describe them as untitled (which is not correct).
I did the install twice, and still the same...
Any clue???
