        Which version of the PCMCIA software are you using? Are you
        using that stock or did you have to apply the patch I have?

        I'm interested in this because, running the 2.2.17 kernel, if I
        boot with yaboot, the PCMCIA slot isn't initialized properly.
        If this works with 2.2.19, then that must have been fixed. (I
        have been booting with BootX and MacOS properly initializes the
        PCMCIA slot.)

        If I can boot with yaboot and have the PCMCIA slow working,
        then I can finally upgrade to XFree86 4.x since it dies a
        horrible death with the 2.2.17/BootX combination.

        BTW: where did you get that kernel? Source?
